for reversing aging, reducing pain, improving energy and brain function.

  1. Daily Omega-3 fat intake – 2 Tablespoons of freshly ground flax will supply alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3 fat) and lignans.  Lignans decrease the incidence of heart attack, stroke, breast and colon cancer.  A daily fish oil supplement containing both fish and krill oils is the best way to boost the omega-3 fat, especially DHA needed for brain health.
  2. 4000 IU of Vitamin D daily – This will optimize the immune system, and reduce cancer and autoimmune conditions.  This will also help your body absorb more calcium – important for osteoporosis concerns.
  3. One multivitamin/multimineral supplement daily – Make sure it contains folic acid, B6 and B12.  Tablets should disintegrate in water within two to four hours.
  4. Use of digestive enzymes (before each meal) and daily probiotics – This will help enhance digestion and nutrient absorption.
  5. 1000 mg elemental calcium and 500 mg magnesium daily – This will help maintain bone health.
  6. Use only healthy fats and oils (i.e., quality olive oil) and butter or coconut oil for cooking at higher heats.  Avoid trans fats.  These are hydrogenated vegetable oils found commonly in baked goods and deep-fried foods.  Read food labels.  This will greatly help reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke.
  7. Undenatured whey protein isolate – This optimizes the immune system, provides antioxidant benefits, and helps in detoxification.  Quantity will depend on individual health needs.
  8. Emu oil daily – Four to five gel caps will improve energy and mental focus, and will often thicken hair.  Emu oil is an anti-inflammatory (topical and internal); very useful for issues of pain relief and wound healing. Visit www.Songlines.ca
  9. Avoid foods to which you are sensitive – This may include wheat gluten (gliadin) and sources of dairy casein (e.g., cheese, milk, yogurt).
  10. Enjoy regular daily exercise andkeep hydrated – Find some form of physical activity you enjoy (e.g., walking, swimming, cycling, weights, Yoga, Tai Chi , pilates), preferably with a cardio-respiratory component.  And, do drink 8-10 glasses of purified water daily.
